Madi is a junior at West Chester University with a Secondary Education and English dual major. She was placed on the Dean’s List both semesters of her sophomore year and is involved in various Education and English clubs on campus. Madi played youth soccer in the Wilson Junior Soccer Club and was a member of the Holy Name High School soccer team. When girls’ high school soccer moved their season from spring to fall, Madi had to choose between her two favorite sports…soccer and volleyball. Madi made the difficult decision to continue her volleyball career with the Blue Jays but her love of soccer never diminished. Soccer was the first sport Madi ever played, and she believes it built her love for sports and for staying active. Madi enjoys working with children and is looking forward to bringing the fun and educational Mighty Kicks program to kids in the tri-county area.
Chandler Nedimyer, a product of Garden Spot High School, is a sophomore early education major at Kutztown University. In the summer, he is a full-time teacher at Kindercare where he primarily works with the school age children. Chandler loves soccer and played throughout his youth and in high school. Chandler appreciates the Mighty Kicks curriculum which merges soccer fun with life skills and social skills development. He looks forward to bringing Mighty Kicks and the great game of soccer to local preschools and child care centers.
Melissa Miller is a sophomore Early Childhood Education major at Millersville University. When she isn’t coaching soccer for Mighty Kicks, Melissa is a teacher at Kindercare Sinking Spring. Melissa played youth soccer and loved to watch her big brother play in high school and college. She is an avid Man U fan. Melissa was a competitive cheerleader and also cheered for Berks Catholic High School where she served as varsity team captain and was recognized with the Coach’s Award her senior year. She currently cheers for Millersville, works as a peer educator, and was named to the Dean’s List as a freshman. Melissa enjoys bringing the fun of Mighty Kicks to children at local preschools.
Coach Shawn is looking forward to starting his first spring season with Mighty Kicks. Soccer has always been an integral part of his life. He grew up playing for the Wilson Junior Soccer Club before spending 4 years on the Wilson High School soccer team. During his 2 years at Penn State Berks, Shawn assisted with both the boys and the girls programs at Holy Name High School. After attending Penn State University, Shawn interned at Disney World in Orlando, Florida working in several capacities within the park. During his free time, Shawn enjoys snowboarding and fishing. He also spends a lot of time with his family, especially his four little cousins, whom he likes to play soccer with. He volunteers for Habitat for Humanity and the SPCA regularly. Shawn is also a fan of professional soccer around the world and given the chance, he will talk your ear off about any league or player!
Nikki Dunlap joins the Mighty Kicks coaching staff after graduating from Delaware Valley University with a degree in Biology. The former Tulpehocken standout was selected team captain and played in all 19 games, starting 18 for Delaware Valley. Nikki garnered Freedom Conference first-team honors after leading the Aggies in goals with seven and points with 14. She tallied two game-winning goals, including the lone goal in the 1-0, Freedom playoff-clinching win at King’s. Also named to the MAC Fall All-Academic Team. Nikki plans to enter dental school in the fall. She loves working with children and is excited to be a part of the outstanding Mighty Kicks coaching staff this spring and summer.

At the end of her freshman year, she received the Academic Excellence Award. Bernadette is a starter on the Women’s Volleyball team and represented her teammates and her school as a member of the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Bernadette’s love for sports was nurtured in her early years by playing soccer. She played for the Wilson Junior Soccer Club, the Jay-Dawgs, and Holy Name High School (Berks Catholic). After her freshman year, the PIAA moved girls soccer from spring to fall forcing Bernadette to choose between soccer and volleyball. While at Berks Catholic, Bernadette lettered in track and field, volleyball, and softball. She believes soccer is a great way to develop physically and build a genuine love for team-oriented activities. She is excited to begin her first season with Mighty Kicks this summer.

Hi Steve,
Just wanted to share with you that I had a parent return yesterday for drop-in-care. Her daughter graduated in the spring and is now in Kindergarten. Her mom enrolled her in soccer at [name removed] because she was always talking about soccer at Goddard [Mighty Kicks Program]. After one class, she told her mom that this was not “fun soccer” she wants to do the soccer like at Goddard! Thanks for a great program!!!

Good eve Coach Steve,
Thank you (for) the updates. Love to read about what you all did and then talk to Case about it. Makes a “Nay” so proud of both of you!! Any pics? Looking forward to reading more! Thanks again
