Katie is the Director and Co-Owner of Mighty Kicks Seattle. She serves as a member of the Mighty Kicks Elite Curriculum Committee, which works to improve developmentally appropriate curricula for Mighty Kicks franchises across the country. She brings a healthy combination of both soccer and teaching experience to her role as Director and is passionate about helping kids learn leadership skills through a child-focused introductory soccer program.

“What drew me to Mighty Kicks initially was seeing how much FUN the kids were having at each session. I quickly realized this program has so much more to offer: the values and life skills the kids are taking away will boost their confidence and set them up for success in life (sports or otherwise).”

Katie has a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University. She taught 3 rd grade in the Tukwila School District for four years and remains active as a volunteer in the Seattle Public Schools, where her twin daughters attend elementary school. Katie and her husband, Danny, live in Seattle with their two daughters (Elsie and Neva, six years old) and son (Fraser, one year old). Katie grew up playing youth and select soccer in Southeastern Michigan. She played on the Women’s soccer team at Taylor University (Upland, Indiana), then went on to graduate from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with a degree in Communications. With years of soccer knowledge and teaching experience, Katie is excited to be a part of Mighty Kick’s mission of helping kids grow through soccer.
