A star Pittsburgh product, Sam grew up playing soccer and led Allderdice High School as captain while earning All Western P.A. honors (graduating with school records in goals and assists). A natural leader, Sam captained Allegheny College (First Team All Conference) before transferring to the University of Georgia where he led the Bulldogs to the conference semifinals.

With a passion for helping children develop and thrive, Sam quickly moved into the coaching and teaching fields as the Athletic Director at the Jewish Community Center and as a teacher with Pittsburgh Public Schools. He is the co-founder and director of “Camp Spirit of the Game,” where he is well-regarded for teaching valuable life skills within the framework of a fun sports program. “Coach Sam” is currently the Head Soccer Coach at Allderdice High and is very proud of his players for winning the last two City League titles. He is the lucky husband of Sarah and honored father of their active children Eamonn and Sammy.

Using the proven Mighty Kicks model, Coach Sam looks forward to leaving a lasting impression on the next generation through introducing them to the world’s most popular game.
