Mighty Kicks in Kenya

Next time you are in Kenya, don’t be surprised if you see children wearing Mighty Kicks apparel and playing soccer with Mighty Kicks Soccer Balls! In June, Mighty Kicks Houston NE franchisees Cesar and Jennifer Coronel traveled to Africa on a missions trip and brought Mighty Kicks with them! The Life Skills soccer program and equipment made a profound impact on these children… and will for years to come.

Mighty Kicks Houston NE teamed up with “Harvest 8 Sports Group” (a Christian, non-profit) to empower local and international youth communities through sports activities. Their objective is not only to provide sports equipment but to make sure that sports instruction and development takes place through training and curriculum after their departure.

Two weeks ago Harvest 8 Sports group along with JC Sports Houston and various donors brought the Kingdom Soccer Project to Kenya. Jennifer, Cesar, and their donors were able to provide two schools in the area with 100 Mighty Kicks Soccer balls with our life skills translated into the local language of Swahili. They also provided soccer goals, soccer equipment, pinnies, medals, and the Mighty Kicks curriculum also translated into Swahili so that the staff in the schools could teach the Mighty Kick’s curriculum for years to come.

Jennifer and Cesar loved the opportunity to be able to provide soccer equipment, curriculum, and training, but more importantly the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of the children, staff, and community in Kenya! Their main goal through the Kingdom Soccer Project in Kenya is “that the seeds that were sewn would become fruitful and reach many for the Kingdom of God.”

Mighty Kicks is thankful and blessed to have had a small part in this trip and are extremely proud to call Jennifer and Cesar part of our Mighty Kicks family!
